I am in love with these two products. I got these from my aunt. I initially only asked for Benefit High Beam but she misunderstood me and thought that I want both of these. Well, guess what? I love them both!
BENEFIT HIGH BEAM
Product Description:
The makeup artist's secret to a healthy glow!
How to use: Dot and blend over makeup on to cheek and brow bones.
Net Weight: 13.0mL / 0.45 US fl. oz.
The box includes the product itself and a piece of dark grey paper which explains pretty much nothing except the product description in many languages. The product itself looks a lot like a nail polish clear glass tube with pale pink liquid inside. It comes with a brush applicator, similar to nail polish's. I do not really have any problem with the packaging, although some would not like them.
It blends really well and look very subtle. Swatches above shows how it will give a natural glow to the skin without any annoying chunky glitters. Although they look pinkish in the tube, it looks pearl white with a slightest tint of pink when applied. It is so natural. Although it is pretty on me, I think it would be super duper lovely on a person with paler skin tone than mine more. I've been so tanned lately, maybe it will suits me better in a few months. But still, who can resist a nice glowy skin, so whenever I am using these, I always put a little less than what I usually do with the Sun Beam.
n.b. Sorry for the bad swatch picture, I have tried everything but my camera did not want to cooperate with me. That was the best that I could do. You can see how my bare hand look like without the product below.
What I like:
- Gives a super natural glow to the skin.
- Pretty color.
- It is not glittery and shimmery at all.
- Staying power is amazing.
- Blend easily.
- It is a bit too light for my skin tone.
- Expensive :(
Repurchase? Oh well, I'm sure this one will take ages to finish. But still, I will definitely repurchase this!

BENEFIT SUN BEAM
Product Description:
Like a warm ray of light... this golden bronze highlighter gives you a natural-looking, sun kissed radiance.
To use: Dot and blend over makeup on to cheek and brow bones.
Net Weight: 13.0mL / 0.45 US fl. oz.
Different from the High Beam, this one includes a more useful piece of information inside the box. It has a cute diagram which explains how to use the product. For Sun Beam, the bottle is not transparent, it is colored in gold bronze similar to its product color.
It gives a super pretty bronze glow to the skin. It really does make my skin looking radiant and sun kissed ♥ I love this so much. It just suits my skin very well and will work for both natural or heavier makeup!
I do not use them directly from the bottle with the brush because I think it is quite unhygienic. So instead, I usually put some products to the back of my hand and then apply them to my face with my fingers. But I'm perfectly fine with it as it gives me more control over the application. Their staying power is good. They stay on my face throughout the day. I still have that nice healthy glow on my skin even after 8-10 hours outside.I personally, do not like powder highlighter because they tend to have chunky glitters and too shimmery which will look too much on my face. So, this is definitely the perfect product in my opinion.
What I like:
- Make my skin looking radiant and sun kissed.
- Super pretty color!
- It is not glittery and shimmery at all.
- So perfect for summer ♥
- Staying power is amazing.
- Blend easily.
- Expensive, but it is soooooo worth it!
Repurchase? I will gladly repurchase this one! :)

ReplyDeleteAh I've been eyeing these 2 products as well as the lip/cheek tints for a long time, but as you said, they're pretty expensive!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick a product, I'd probably go for High Beam as I'm more of a highlighting than a bronzing girl!
