Review: Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Ever feel like your skin is so dry that it is so itchy and just flaking everywhere? Yes. I know how that feels. Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief is something you need to know about. It is my holy grail skin care product and I am just soooooo addicted to it.

- Or use as a 5-minute mask: massage onto clean skin and blot off excess with a tissue.

Net Weight: 1.7oz / 50ml

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, like most moisturizers do, packaged in a glass jar and comes with an information sheet inside. The sheet basically informs us about all the available Moisture Surge products and explains them, in many languages.

Just right after you open the glass jar, you will find a plastic cover to prevent spills and messes. I really like it because I hate hate hate it when my moisturizers get messy on the lid if I accidentally turn them upside down.

This moisturizer or should I say the magic 'pink' gel is super amazing. It is suitable for all skin types, oil-free, has no fragrance, and it is ultra hydrating! I am super glad that I got this in the first place. It works wonders for me.

I usually like to apply this when I feel that my skin is needing that extra hydration. Errrrr NO! I use this almost every night because I just love love love loveeeeeeee how it makes my skin super smooth every morning. Sometimes in the morning, I even feel sorry to my skin for washing the smoothness and softness away. I usually apply to my face, and the leftover products on my hand will go to the neck areas and my lips. I don't know if it's actually okay to be used on lips but I have not experience anything weird. Instead, it gives me soft and smooth lips after a few minutes. Say goodbye to dry skin and lips! :D I like to apply it in substitution of my moisturizer on super hot days as well, BECAUSE it does not leave any greasy or oily feeling to the face, at all! oh my god, I sound crazy.

A little goes a long way, but to be honest it doesn't happen to me. I am seriously addicted to this and I am left with 1/3 of the product in just 2 months, when usually this much product can last me a good half a year or even more. Sigh. However, my skin has been a lot better and much less dry ever since I started using this. It is quite expensive but who cares. I am proud to say that this is my holy grail skin care product and I simply cannot live without this product.

The only thing I do not really like is the packaging. I actually quite dislike products in a jar packaging because I hate that I have to dip my fingers every time, and sometimes get some products under my nails. But I have no problem with it this time because the product itself is super amazing! :3

What I like:
  • Super hydrating
  • Does not leave greasy or oily feeling
  • Absorbs super fast
  • Oil-free
  • Fragrance-free
What I dislike:
  • Jar packaging, I think it's unhygenic
Overall Rating: 5/5
Repurchase? YES! I guess forever? LOL.
I even bought another jar already as you can see I used a new product for pictures above :p

Price? $37 for 1.7oz / $49.50 for 2.5oz.

  13. My sister in law loves this stuff, she get's suuuuper dry and uncomfortable skin all year but worse in colder months and this works great for her! I haven't tried it personally, but I love jojoba oil for my main daytime and nighttime moisturizer, it's light enough but still hydrating. ^__^b
