Review: EOS Lip Balm

EOS Lip Balm

I've been wanting to try EOS Lip Balm ever since forever! I was always so jealous of you guys who lived in the United States and can get these little cuties soooo easily. I finally managed to get my hands on these (around $4 each) and I got it in three flavours: Strawberry Sorbet, Pomegrante Raspberry, and Blueberry Acai.

EOS Lip Balm

I have always adored its cute egg-like shape and the fact that they are pastel coloured. I had tons lip balms already but I just just couldn't resist. Oh well, could you?! Plus, I was always so curious about it because every one seems to love it so much that it is literally everywhere on the internet.

EOS Lip Balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.

The second I opened Strawberry Sorbet (baby pink), I knew it was going to be my new favourite lip balm. It was sooooo yummy, it literally smells like strawberry chupa chups lollipop. If I wasn't sober at that moment, I swear, I would have licked and eaten it. Oh well, if you haven't noticed this yet, I have been using it non-stop ever since I got it. I usually resist using any product before I took pictures, just so that the pictures wouldn't look weird but this one was so hard to resist. You can see that the shape of the Strawberry Sorbet is not that cute anymore on the picture above. You can even see scratches on the packaging :p

Blueberry Acai (blue), however to me, doesn't smell that pleasant. It has this cough-syrup like scent that is quite strong. It's not that strong on lips though. Pomegranate Raspberry (hot pink) definitely has a more subtle scent compared to the other two. This one smells like bees wax but barely there. I am not really a fan of bees wax scent but it smells a lot better when it is applied, as if it has this hidden fruity scent inside. I have to say that Blueberry Acai is my least favourite out of the three.

EOS Lip Balm Pomegranate Raspberry

EOS Lip Balm is amazing. Strawberry Sorbet is definitely my favourite. These lip balms instantly melt when applied to the lips despite the fact that they are kinda hard and not mushy. I love how it provides long-lasting moisture to the lips without the greasy feeling like most lip balms do. I should say they are not the most hydrating lip balms out there but they are super long lasting and tastes great! For a lipstick eater like me, the fact that these lip balms smell amazing and taste great totally got me! and oh, these EOS Lip Balms also has semi-matte finish, so they are perfect as a lipstick/lip tint base.

On the down side, the cute packaging sometimes do annoy me because it is just so bulky that I find it hard to keep when I want to bring only crossbody bag or clutch. Still, I would totally repurchase Strawberry Sorbet when I am done with these. I would love to also try Honeysuckle Honeydew and Summer Fruit because they just sound so edible.

Have you ever tried any EOS Lip Balm?
If yes, what do you think of them?
If not, would you want to try them out?

  1. I have the EOS balm in Summer Fruit. The scent and flavor is nice... it did start smelling kind of plastic-like after using it a few times, but that dissipated. I want to try Strawberry Sorbet or the Mint one next. I have to agree, these balms are not the most amazing one's I've ever tried and they're not that moisturizing either. >_>

  2. Omgg I totally know how you feel! I can never get my hands on makeup products like this in Australia either :( I always envy those that live in United states as well!
I think the packaging of these are super adorable and they smell really good too :)
Sucks how the blue one doesn't smell that great!

  3. I want to tryyy Summer Fruit tooo!!! does it smell super fruity? because that's what I would think, looking by what it is named. You have to try Strawberry Sorbet! It's amazingggg. I read that the Mint one is also really nice though :D Yeap, too bad they are not that moisturizing. But I can definitely accept this just because it smells (and tastes) really nice :p

  4. YES! that feeling sucks. It is just kind of hard to get USA make up products here. There are shops who sell stuffs online but I would rather have them everywhere just so that I could actually see them by myself before deciding whether to buy it or not. Have you tried these? which one is your favourite?

  10. Yes, Summer Fruit is very fruity, it's not overpoweringly fruity or sickeningly fruity sweet, it's just right, I can only describe it to be a naturally fruity scent and flavor. ^__^
