Review: Urban Decay Naked Palette

I finally own an Urban Decay Naked Palette. Yay! I know I have actually owned this for while, but I haven't had the time to really get into it and do a review. Today, I'm going to show you the infamous Naked Palette from Urban Decay. Keep reading!

Who doesn't know this particular eyeshadow palette. It's so famous that literally almost everyone would have at least one naked palette. Am I right? If you do not have this yet, don't worry because you will know why it is so pretty and what's so great about this palette. Very soon.

Product description:
Everybody wants to look good NAKED! Far from a group of boring beige shadows, Naked Palette's long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous bronze-hued neutrals, and includes our pro-quality Good Karma Shadow Brush.

Fill Weight:
Eyeshadows: 12 x 1.3g e 12 x 0.05 US oz
Eyeshadow Primer Potion: 3.7ml e 0.13 US fl oz

This palette from Urban Decay, comes in chocolate velvet case with gold 'NAKED' lettering and magnetic closure. Packed with 12 neutral eye shadows, the Naked Palette has a range of textures and shades. From matte, shimmer, to glittery and a variety of light to dark shades eye shadow.

I suck at explaining colour so, I will just spam the blog post with pictures and let them do the talking.

(Sorry about the slight changes in lighting but it basically looks kinda similar in real)

Swatches

My ultimate favourite from this palette are Sin, Buck, and Half Baked. They are just super pretty. I love the fact that the eye shadows from Naked Palette are so pigmented and so buttery soft. One swipe on the pan is all you need. Okay, I may be exaggerating but it is so pigmented that I usually only swiped my brush very lightly to create smokey eyes. They can be easily blended and there are very minimal fallout. I love glitters on my lighter eye shadow shades because they can make my eyes look sparkly and bright but hate it when they don't stay in place and fall all over my face. I have no problem at all with this palette.

I was surprised myself when I first used some of the eye shadows, especially Buck. I thought that it would not show up that much on my lids. But, I was so wrong. It is super pigmented and super pretty to be used to create a natural smokey eyes. The only thing I don't really like from this palette is the velvet case as it collects dust. I've owned mine only for a month and it is kinda dirty already. Pretty sure it'll be super dirty in no time. Also, I am not so sure about the magnetic closure. Would it be fine during travelling?

At first, I was contemplating on getting either Naked 1 or Naked 3. I was so uncertain at first and finally went with Naked 1. I am so glad that I actually got it. I love my Naked Palette. Even though it's kinda pricey, I have no regret.

Do you own any Naked Palette?
Mind to share your thoughts with me?

  12. I've had my Naked 1 palette for a few years now and still love it. It's my go to neutral palette. It's a great value for the price and I love all of the colors, I'm pretty sure that I can wear all of them since the shades are pretty universally flattering. You can also create a number of looks with this palette. I got myself the Naked 3 palette for Christmas and I really love it as well, almost as much as Naked 1. I haven't gotten around to using it much, but when I have worn it out, it's very flattering. I really love the feminine shades that Naked 3 has. I wasn't really keen on getting the Naked Basics (all matte shades), but I received it as a Birthday gift and can't wait to try it out. UD has really done great with all of their palettes. ^__^b

  15. Yes! The shades are really pretty <3 I've done a number of looks just using this particular palette. I am sure I can still create another one :D Awww~ when I read reviews on the Naked 3 I feel like I need it too! I guess I will save up and definitely buy it. Oh yeah! Naked basics look really pretty too but only the last 3 shades :p I don't think it's really worth it though.
