NOTW: Red Striped Nails

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last showed my nails :) I just got myself a few striping tapes and decided to create something simple and chic with it. Played around a little bit and ended with these on my nails. Somehow these randomly placed gold stripes remind me of midi rings. Kekeke.

These are the nail polishes I used to achieve the look.

I used a coat of Skinfood Nail Vita Base Coat, two coats of Etude House XoXo Minnie #1, then I used light gold striping tape to create stripes on the nails, a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, and a drop of Etude House Help My Finger Quick Dry Drop on each nail

Yes they are a bit messy, but it was my first time to use striping tapes. Also, I did not have the proper tools (read: manicure scissors) so I just used the regular office scissors to cut the tapes. It was really hard and indeed took ages for me to have a precise cut. But it's not that bad for a first timer, eh?

I'm sure you can also notice that a few of the red polishes smudged. I was impatient, okay?! Luckily this time none of the nail polishes are ruined before they completely dried. I usually always end up ruining nail polishes because I simply couldn't wait for them to completely dry. I guess I have to thank Etude House Help My Finger Quick Dry Drop for doing its job.

Oh and also ever since I got this Etude House XoXo Minnie #1 nail polish, I've been obsessed with it. I keep coming back to it wanting to use it all over again after I clean my nails. It's so gorgeous that I couldn't keep myself from not using it again. I've re-painted my nails with this beautiful red polish 3 times ever since I got this polish two months ago. I have to say that the consistency is just awesome. Two coats are all you need to get such gorgeous opaque color, you can even get away with only one coat. It's just that with one coat you are more likely to get a more vibrant red color. I like mine to be a little dark so I always do two to three coats.

What do you think? ;)
