Makeup Challenge: Valentine Day KPOP Makeup

It's been ages since I posted any makeup here in the blog, yeah? So anyway, I've been meaning to do try and join this Valentine Day Kpop makeup challenge ever since I visited Rini's blog 2 weeks ago. Yep, life's been pretty hectic since I started working full-time.. Now, let's just go ahead and start talking about the look I did for the challenge!

Not even sure why the color won't come out right in the photos. The eyeshadows are a lot pinker and saturated and my lips are actually a lot lighter in real life. Oh well.. I was only able to take clear shots of the look using flash, maybe that's why. It was cloudy and kinda dark today so natural lights don't help as my hands would keep shaking when I take selfies.

Here is a picture taken using only natural lights if you are curious.

Please ignore the huge bump on my nose, my skin has been acting up a lot lately. They're currently not in their best condition. So, umm yeahhh.. here are some little close up pictures of the eye makeup to show you better details.

Basically what I did on the eyes was to put on light peachy pink shimmery eyeshadow from the Coastal Scents 120 Palette Three all over the lid and then contour a little on the outer V using a matte reddish brown eyeshadow. And then added a golden glittery eyeshadow using Essence 3D Eyeshadow in 08 Irresistible Vanilla Latte in the center of my lids to give volume and sparkly effect, as well as light beige shimmery shadow on the first half of my lower lashline. Next, I tightlined my upper and lower outer V of my eyes using Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in 02 Brown and then finish off with a pair of natural false lashes and apply some mascara.

For the face, I conceal all imperfection with cushion foundation and concealer for spots and under eye area using Too Cool For School Dinoplatz U.F.O. Multibox in #21 Polo. Then, using only a dab of the peach pink cream blusher to give a natural blushing cheek effects and then finish off the look with light peach pink lipgloss using NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie for a sweet look. Super easy!

I would say really simple actually, because I think that's what korean makeup is all about. Innocent, simple and natural, yet very pretty at the same time. Also, I think it would be best not to overdo your makeup, especially during valentine's day or date night because you don't want to scare your partners, do you?

To finish off this post, here are the products I used to achieve the look above.

Coastal Scents 120 Palette Three // Too Cool For School DinoPlatz U.F.O Multibox #21 Polo // Essence 3D Eyeshadow in 08 Irresistible Vanilla Latte // Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in 02 Brown // Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10 Light // Innisfree Skinny Mascara // Etude House Drawing Eyebrow AD in 03 Brown // Etude House Color my Brows 04 Natural Brown // NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie
