Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack & Soap Special Duo

Back again today with another review of exciting product from Too Cool For School! It’s the Egg Mousse Pack & Soap Special Duo. It is such a great deal to have this special duo as it lets you try both products in mini sizes without having to purchase the full size. As you all know that I had Eyelash Extension on ever since few weeks ago, this has been my current favorite cleanser since it is super easy to use and doesn't drip onto my eye area.

These duo come packaged in a frosted plastic bag and an information card enclosed together. I find the information card to be very helpful, as English translation is provided, quite a rare thing from Korean products.

Soft as whipping cream, Egg Mousse Soap and Egg Mousse Pack
filled with nutrients of an egg provide clear skin with elasticity and moisture!

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack
It is a soft cream massage pack, a warming up pack to use before makeup. It brightens and nourishes the skin thanks to the egg yolk and white.

How to use:
  • Shake vigorously before use.
  • Pump an appropriate amount on your dry hand and apply it to the face.
  • After gently massaging the face, rinse thoroughly with warm water.
  • Use 2-3 times a week.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap
It is a pore washing item that creates a tight mousse. It can be used for cleansing or as a shaving cream for men.

How to use:
  • Shake vigorously before use and cleanse in the morning and at night.
  • Press the button gently to release a small amount.
  • Gently massage the entire face and rinse thoroughly with water.

These products come in a typical hair mousse bottle with pump top to dispense the product. I find that sometimes it is quite hard to control the amount dispensed especially when I want just a small amount of soap, but for daily use just a small push is more than enough for the soap to cover your entire face. Although for the pack you might need a little bit more since the consistency is lighter.

The Egg Mousse Pack has a lighter and more blendable texture, with very fine bubbles, almost like most facial foams in the market today but a lot finer. I am really enjoying it, using it makes my skin feel super refreshed. I have been using these in the morning often in the past few weeks and I am loving the texture so much. I usually don't need any heavy cleansing in the morning since I don't want to strip off moisture from the face, so this one has been really great.

The Egg Mousse Soap, although has a really smooth texture in real, it has quite a thick and stiff consistency. It really does remind me of hair mousse as the texture is very similar. One thing I am really liking from these duo are that how they both doesn't leave the skin feeling tight. They leaves the skin feeling super hydrated and supple afterwards, perfect for those with drier skin type.

I am not a fan of how the Egg Mousse Pack smells like. It reminds me of hair mousse so much that it feels quite weird putting it on my face. The Egg Mousse Soap on the other hand, is quite lovely, and smells a lot nicer compared to the Pack.

Here I did a little test to test out the cleansing power of the Too Cool For School Mousse Soap.

To be honest, I am quite disappointed by its cleansing power. I have tried other korean cleansing foams that do better job than this, like my all time favorite The Faceshop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam. It even fails to clean CC cream and BB cream completely. It might be quite difficult to see but there are still so much left on the fine lines of my skin, imagine how it would be on the pores. But of course, none of this would have mattered if you are using no makeup during the day.

The cleansing power definitely is not something this Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack & Soap Special Duo great at. Not a huge thing for me though since I always go through 1-2 other cleansing steps before using cleansing soap. I never feel that using a single cleansing product, no matter how great its cleansing power, is enough to remove makeup anyway. But if it has great cleansing power, it is definitely a plus.

However, I am still loving these products as I always appreciate cleansing product that does not dry the skin or leave the skin feeling tight. It even leaves skin the super hydrated and so supple afterwards. I am especially loving them these days since I had Eyelash Extension a month ago, as it makes cleansing a lot easier. The formula allows me to cleanse the face without soap and water dripping all over and getting onto my eyes.
