Today, I would like to review a product I received from BNTnews this month, the Daeng Gi Meo Ri Ja Dam Hwa Scalp & Hair Cleansing Shampoo + Treatment. Sounds really confusing but really promising right? I was definitely super excited when I got this one since I have quite a few hair and scalp problem such as breakage, weak roots, limp & flat hair, as well as oily scalp. Since this shampoo is a multi-function product that promises to cleanse the scalp and boost hair's vitality, I was really really hoping that this could at least solve one of my problems.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the pretty packaging? I am totally loving every bit of the design!
This oriental medicine-inspired (white ginseng, ginger) and patented (crinum lily extracts) formula provides the tired scalp and hair with energy, strength, and beauty. It contains silk extracts from golden cocoons which protects the hair while reinforcing firmness and glow. Not only that, it contains a herb complex made of green tea, camomile, sage, calendula and herna, to moisturize deeply. The foam created helps eliminate any wastes on your scalp and leaves behind a subtle wild flower fragrance.
Definitely sounds really healthy and promising right? Sadly, after trying this for only three days, I started noticing a strange itching reaction all over my scalp, which is also experienced by Kine. I have no idea what was causing it because I have never experienced such allergy before. It was such a pity though, because I love how this shampoo smells so much!
The floral scents together with a little herbal touch was amazing. It makes my hair smells so good yet super healthy afterwards. It also cleanses my scalp so well that it doesn't get oily as fast as usual. It gives a little boost to my hair crown, leaving it look fuller and more alive. I was super impressed with this shampoo, and was planning to keep using this everyday until I feel the itching reaction.
Until today, I still am not sure why my scalp was sensitive to it. I am thinking to try it again and maybe only use it once a week because I am actually really liking it. I'm kinda afraid that it's gonna irritate my scalp though.
