Hello girls, today I am back with another crazy yet interesting product from Korea, the April Skin Magic Snow Cream. If you have no idea, it is basically a moisturizing whitening cream. But somehow it's been crazy popular here in Indonesia. April Skin Magic Snow Cream is a long lasting moist cream with combination of snow-grain shape whitening particle and natural mineral Himalaya glacial milk to brighten your skin.
Does it live up to its claim?
The packaging is simple yet looking very pretty, don't you agree? Especially those hologram. Let's cut the chit chat and go straight to see its texture and if it works or not, yeah?
The texture of the April Skin Magic Snow Cream is very light, very runny, watery, super easy to blend and get absorbed to the skin within seconds. The texture is a lot more like essence rather than thick cream. Leaves no traces, no sticky/oily feeling, except moisturized and slightly brightened skin!
As you can see on the above swatches, the cream only brightens my skin lightly, looking very natural, almost translucent. Unlike those many pictures of before&after of Koreans on its advertisement, this cream actually leaves a very subtle and natural finish, brightening especially the darker areas of your skin.
The effect on the skin differs under different lighting. When the skin hits more light, the brightening effect will be more prominent too. I feel like the cream actually works by giving glow from within, allowing more light to reflect on the skin thus cancels out the darkness. You do have to be careful though if you only use this product alone on the face, because it can sometimes look blotchy and uneven under very bright sunlight. So make sure to always apply generous amount, spread it out evenly, and tap to prevent unevenness.
I am not a fan of using this on the face because most of the time, my BB creams already provides enough brightening effect, and I definitely don't want to have a ghostly pale face only. So, instead I enjoy using this on other areas of my body, especially around the knees and elbow. And they work like a charm!

April Skin Magic Snow Cream is a very unique product since it is both cosmetic and skincare. The instant brightening effect is actually temporary but waterproof, your skin will feel just like your skin and contact with water will not remove the whitening effect, until you washes it off with soap, so you don't have to worry about it.
