This is currently my everyday cleansing foam. At first I got it because I read so many good review of it on G-Market a year ago. Well, it really is a nice product. This is now my second tube already and I'm super loving it.
*Pardon the huge B symbol on the image. I was trying new stuffs so that I can give you better photos of the product, but it did not turn out well and I do not have the original file anymore :p
Product Description:
Natural brightening solution with rice water.
The Faceshop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam is a moisturizing , brightening, and detoxifying cleansing foam made with rice water and Moringa oil. Its creamy and cushiony texture eases handling and moisturizing ingredients leave skin feeling hydrated after cleansing by minimizing moisture loss.
How to use:
Dispense an adequate amount into the palm and lather fully. Massage into the face and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Net Weight: 150mL
The cleansing foam, just like any other korean cleansing foam, comes in a tube form with its I like it because it is hygenic and is easier to control the amount dispensed each time. When I first bought it, it is wrapped in plastic with its tube mouth covered with an aluminium seal.
The foam is milky white and has a thick consistency. It has a nice subtle smell and I personally love it, it makes me feel better all the time. I don't really know what it is but it does smell a bit like rice. If you do not like cleansing foam with any fragrances, then I do not recommend this to you.
It lathers very well thus, a little is enough to cover the entire face. I love it so much because it does not strip off moisture from my face and is quite moisturizing. It makes my skin soft and smooth. If you have dry skin like me, this is a pretty good cleanser. It is also quite cheap, last time I checked it was about $6 - $7 at The Faceshop's store in Korea.
Although it says that it can brighten the face, I do not really see it happening to me. It does brighten a little but temporarily, for only about 5 to 10 minutes. It does not break me out. And oh! Maybe it is just me but I feel that it also tighten my pores, making them look even better after cleansing.
To test its cleansing power, here I put some BB cream, eyeliner, and waterproof mascara.
Not bad, huh? It successfully cleansed everything so nicely, except for the waterproof mascara. I think it is pretty good as waterproof mascara does need a little extra effort in cleansing, even with eye makeup remover.
What I like:
- Moisturizing and does not dry my skin.
- It does not break me out.
- Makes my skin soft and smooth.
- It smells nice.
- Pretty cheap.
- Does not really brighten my skin.
Repurchase? If I do not find better cleanser than this by the time this tube is over, then I will definitely repurchase.
What do you think about this cleansing foam? Have you ever tried it before? Is there any other decent cleansing foam that you know is suitable for dry skin? Let me know in the comment below because if there is an even better cleanser exists out there, I would love to try them out :)
and oh! I need opinions. I'm still testing new lighting and settings for better pictures. Which do you think is better? Taking pictures of products on background like this? Plain white background? or like how I did before, on my wooden floor? :p
Amazing review you convince me to want to purchase the product. Thank you for visiting my blog following you by bloglovin follow back thanks.

I haven't tried this before but it looks nice! I have no clue what other product you can use for dry skin, but I know for sensitive skin! xD Hmm.. I actually like how you took your photos here and on your wooden floor. But I like the lighting here, it's better. :3
ReplyDeleteWhich product do you think is suitable for sensitive skin? I will look into it and see if I am interested :p
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment. I think i'll stick with this lighting then ♥
Thank you :) Definitely. Cleanser is the key to flawless skin!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Glad that my review helped you.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried any products from the face shop, but it seems like quite a good cleanser. I personally have normal-ish skin, but I've heard that some of the Clinique cleansers that are specialised for dry skin are pretty good^-^ x
ReplyDeleteClinique? Hmm... I might have a sample size of the cleanser but have not tried them before because the size is just so perfect for travelling and I thought to just keep it for travelling. Thanks for telling me this. I will try to find mine and try it if it suits me :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a nice cleanser! I haven't tried this or any other The Faceshop products before, but I have always been intrigued. I actually quite like the photo quality and lighting on this post! I wish I could achieve the same quality! I need a real camera, I've been using my camcorder's photo function but most of my pictures are a bit grainy and the lighting is awful. T__T
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm so glad I found your blog. I fell in love with it straight away! and the photo's you take are breath taking! My gosh. I really want to try this after I've read what you wrote! I'm not sure if I'll be able to find this in New Zealand though :( You have an amazing blog and I can't wait to read more! xo

Bella the pictures are stunning! I love this background and the wooden floor as well <3 and you made me wanna try this cleansing foam haha. It cleanses makeup really well, except maybe waterproof eyeliner and mascara huh which is understandable seeing eye makeup needs thorough removal :) great review ^^ thank you for sharing <3

I never tried it before, but I will stick with my clearasil and clinque face wash. I love them both and it works out for me. I'm always scared to try new products for my face, haha.

I use the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash. (Which I made a review about on my blog-> http://phaileepandascafe.blogspot.com/2013/08/review-simple-moisturizing-facial-wash.html ) I have heard some complaints that the facial wash was a little drying.. but a good moisturizer can fix that.. xD
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice product wow that waterproof mascara is really good. But maybe I try this product because I really like it the face shop!

I love the variety of different backgrounds. Also, your review is making me itch to try this out. Especially since you say it doesn't dry out your skin. I have dry skin too and looking for cleansers can be quite frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite cleanser too! I just love the scent, texture and package. xx

hye! what a good review.i just bought this cleansing foam 3 days ago.actually i wanna buy a scrub.but then, the salesgirl suggested to me the rice water bright and she said that i should apply it twice a week only.not everyday.and when i read your review, you said that you used it everyday isn't it?and now i'm very confuse.how many times should I use it?is that okay if use it everyday?what i know is, if a scrub, yes, we should use it twice a week, but the rice water bright is a cleansing foam.then it is okay if apply it everyday.aiyo.very confuse.the salesgirl told me a lie.
ReplyDeletehey there, I'm using this cleansing foam for about a month now and it's working great with my skin. I've been using this every morning after waking up and still feel great. Doesn't break me out or give me squeaky clean feeling. Which is good. There's another version of this Cleansing Foam which is Rice Water Bright Rice Bran Cleansing Foam that has rice beads in it. Works like a scrub but this also can be used everyday. I'm using this one for evening cleansing cause it gets rid off dirt on my face that have been accumulated throughout the day.
ReplyDeletexx,
do you guys use it morning and night ? or just morning ?
ReplyDeleteHi. I use this mostly during the night because I like to use a milder cleansing foam in the morning because my face is not that dirty to begin with :) but you can go ahead and use this morning and night if you'd like to. I don't think there'll be any problem.
ReplyDeleteHi sorry for the really late reply. This is just a regular cleansing foam without any beads/scrubs so it will not cleanse your face harshly. So, I think it should be fine using it everyday if you'd like too. I don't see why we should only use it twice a week :)
ReplyDeleteoh k thank u ! nd can i know what you use as a milder cleansing foam :) thnks !
ReplyDeleteSure! I currently use Clinique's liquid facial soap in Mild, for dry combination skin :) http://www.clinique.com/product/1673/8279/Skincare/Cleansers_Makeup_Removers/Liquid-Facial-Soap/index.tmpl
ReplyDeleteHello ^.^
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you've used the Juju Aquamoist Foam Cleansing, that's the one I turned to after having trouble with oily/combination skin. I came across it when you tubers recommended it and haven't turned back (most say you can use it alternately if you have dry skin?).
You might also like to look at Michael Todd True Organics. It's not an Asian brand but it does work wonders. I've had people commenting on the skin improvements (and this is from people I see daily.)
i recently changed mine into this and voila..it's really lovely..thanks for the review! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteI tried looking for reviews today of this product and now, you definitely made me a customer of it :) really nice review. This is enough for people to go purchase it! I recently started having dry skin, I believe I used a wrong type of product which caused me to have it so I definitely need this. Thank you :D
