Morning Skincare Routine - Dry Combination Skin

I have dry skin on my cheeks and kinda oily on the T-zone areas, a dry combination skin. I've been hunting for the right products for my daily skincare routine and so far, my skin has been much better and I am liking my current routine. So, here is a list of products I've been using every morning, wrote in numbers according to which one I use first. I hope this list could at least help you guys who have similar skin condition as I am. Let's get started!

01. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Mild, for Dry Combination Skin
I've been loving this cleanser so much recently. I only need a pea size amount, it cleanses well, doesn't strip off moisture from my skin and in fact super moisturizing to the point that my skin still feels soft after I wash my face. I currently only have the sample size which I got from a Clinique Haul back then, and I will be repurchasing once I am done with this little love.

02. Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 for Dry Combination Skin
This is to exfoliate the skin, whisks away flakes, removes dead cells, and refines pores. I have to admit it does the job really well. No matter how clean I have washed my face, I will always see this kind of dirty cotton pad after I wipe my face with this. Well, I'm not really liking it 100% though as it contains alcohol. If you dislike anything with alcohol, then you should definitely stay away from this.

03. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
It's been always there. I've been using this for almost 2 years now. It's just that miracle water which improves my skin condition. Helps a lot in moisturizing my skin too. It just feels empty when I don't use this. Well, a little goes a long way so I think this is just worth it ;)

04. Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage
This one. I use this rarely, just whenever I wakes up with puffy eyes and really bad dark circles but I just have to mention this here. Let me tell you, this product is amazing for puffy eyes. I'm not even kidding. Once, I ever woke up with an extremely puffy eyes! I was literally panicking because I look horrible, my double eyelids are completely gone, and I had to go and meet some friends in a few hours. Even ice cubes couldn't help at all. All I did was massaging both my eyes, all around with this and the puffiness is gone in 15 minutes. Since then, I've been loving this product so much.

05. Clinique All About Eyes Rich
Really moisturizing, does not leave greasy/oily feeling, goes onto the skin really smooth. Doesn't do much on dark circles though.

06. Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator
Supposedly this serum can evened out my skin tone. The texture and consistency of this serum is amazing. It doesn't leave an oily feeling and gets absorbed to the skin super fast too. It makes my moisturizer and BB cream application a lot smoother and easier. It does make my skin a wee bit more radiant and bright. However, I have yet to see a dramatic improvement on my skin. I've been using this for a month or so, maybe I just need a little more time.

07. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Amazing product. I'd been having dry flaky skin almost all my life, especially on my cheeks area. I looked for the right moisturizer my entire life and this is the first one that suits perfectly to my skin. Although, I'm not even half way through the bottle. I can see that my skin is no longer dry, always nicely moisturized, ten times better than last year. BB cream application is also a lot smoother now and never patchy anymore. Yay! If you have dry skin and is looking for a new moisturizer, I would suggest this one. Go and check it out! :)

08. KOSE Sekkisei Sun Protector SPF50+ / PA+++
This product is a new addition to my morning skincare routine. I don't really use this everyday though, I just use it when I feel like I'm gonna be exposed to the sun for a long period of time because I use BB cream and I think SPF20/25 is enough when I stay mostly indoor.
I recently got a sample of this product from another KOSE purchase and have been loving it so much. It is in a kind of liquid form, takes literally seconds to dry, dries matte, leaves my skin feeling soft without the burnt sensation, no greasy/oily feeling, smells amazing although I would prefer it without any fragrances. GAWD. I had never try any sunscreen this good in my entire life before. Really. It's just amazing. plus SPF50+?! and PA+++?! I am so gonna repurchase when I am done with this sample bottle.

If you guys notice, my routine contains mainly high-end skincare products because I have yet to find cheaper products with the similar great quality which suits my skin condition. I prefer spending all my money on skincare and left with nothing for makeup as it is way more important in the long run. Don't worry though, when I find something really amazing with affordable price, I will definitely review it for you! :)

I will be writing a different post on my Night Skincare Routine because I use a few different products from my morning skincare routine. It would be really confusing if I am to write them all down here. and oh! All other products which I don't use daily like masks will go to the Night Skincare Routine post.

How do you usually do your morning skincare routine? Leave a comment down below or leave a link to your blog post here, I would love to know your routine. I hope you enjoyed this post. Don't forget to follow the blog and check back on my Night Skincare Routine :)

  2. I use the same facial cleanser, toner and dramatically different moisturising lotion! I use to use the moisturising lotion for very dry skin and it was SO awful! My T-zone was so oily, it looked like I was constantly sweating all the time XD! But literally my morning routine is the 3 step skincare clinique plan and that's about it, ahahaha

  4. Really? lol that must be terrible. Maybe you should try their moisturizing gel then? I thought that this one has a better consistency as it is lighter :p Too bad they are not for dry skin. I suppose they are not that moisturizing hence would be perfect for you :D
