Review: Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB Cream SPF20 PA+ #2 Natural Beige

Hello! I'm back with another review of Skinfood product. This is Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB Cream in shade #2 Natural Beige. This has been my go-to foundation product ever since I got it almost 2 years ago. I have tried so many different BB creams, mostly from the Etude House but none of them is this great. Okay now, let's get into the real review!

Product description:
Containing Peach Extract that soothes oily, troubled skin, and Sake that controls excessive sebum secretion, this light-textured blemish cream effectively conceals skin impurities and gives a natural coverage for a flawless complexion.

How to use:
After daily basic skincare regimen, apply an ample amount evenly onto the skin to smooth the texture.

Net weight: 30ml

Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB cream comes in a tube packaging with a pump to dispense the product. Above is a clearer picture of the pump. The overall design and packaging of this BB cream is really pretty, with textured lid and natural-looking design. Oh well, I think all of Skinfood products' packaging are super pretty. Don't you think?

With its size which is just a little bit longer than my palm grip, this BB cream is really handy and travel friendly. It holds 30ml of product and the whole tube can last me about 5-6 months, depending on how often I use it (I don't use BB creams everyday as I don't go out everyday).

This BB cream, like how it's named, has a peachy color to it. It is actually really peachy/orangey unlike other BB creams which are mostly greyish/yellowish. It comes in only 2 shades and this is the darkest one. Swatches above show how the BB cream is actually way lighter than my skin tone. However, it matches my skin tone pretty well when fully blended and it really REALLY really brighten and evened out my skin tone. This is one point that I really love about this BB cream. It covers my dark circles pretty well too.

This BB cream has a quite a strong scent to it. Hmm.. I would say flowery? But in my opinion it smells really good so I don't really mind it :P Just an info for you guys who dislike scented stuffs.

Okay, I'll get into straight into the likes and dislikes in points because it will be really long if I am to write the whole thing down. Well, it is much clearer too in point form. Before that, here are some pictures on how it looks like on my face. Pardon my ugly face. I did no makeup at all except to moisturize and put this BB cream on. The reason why I don't show my eyebrows! Yep.

WHAT I LIKE:
  • Easy to blend with just my fingers
  • Lightweight
  • Not cakey at all
  • Not drying
  • Suits my skin tone quite well
  • Really brighten my skin
  • Covers my uneven skintone really well
  • Does not leave a white/grey cast like how most BB creams do!
  • Does not break me out
  • SPF! who doesn't love foundation with SPF?!
  • Packaging. It's hygenic.
WHAT I DISLIKE:
  • Pump sometimes does not work that well anymore after a while
  • Controls excessive sebum secretion? hmm. not really. I still experience oily T-zone after 7-8 hours.
OVERALL RATING: 4.5/5
REPURCHASE? Yes. I've repurchased this 4-5 times by now and will still do. No matter how many other BB creams I've tried, so far this is still the best and it still is my favourite BB cream.

Have you ever tried this BB cream? What do you think about it?
What do you think about Skinfood products?

  1. I saw this BB cream the last time i went online shopping and the price was really appealing hehe :) It sounds really good but it sucks that it doesn't have very good oil control because i have pretty oily skin to begin with >_<

  4. Yeah I know. It's pretty cheap compared to other korean BB creams :P Hey, but maybe it's just me because I read a lot of awesome reviews back then when I was deciding to get this or not. Maybe it'll work wonders for you!

  6. I think oil control for 7-8 hours is still awesome! :O And your skin looks super flawless and nice, I bet your eyebrows aren't that bad haha :p Do you think this one or the one by Etude House is better? I really need a new BB cream >u<

  7. Hahaha, I don't have a really oily face to begin with. I have dry combination skin and oil control for 7-8 hours for me I think would be about 4-5 hours for them who have oily skin. So, I don't think its oil control is that good. hmm...

NO! you seriously don't want to see me without my eyebrows done. It would be horribly horrible. lol. I don't even want to see myself in the mirror without my eyebrows done :P

The only BB cream I have ever purchased from Etude House is the Bling in the sea BB cream and I really don't like it. Other BB creams from Etude House that I've ever tried were either samples or just borrowed products from a friend :P and none of them caught my attention.

Try this one! Maybe it will suit you better than me :p who knows. and another BB cream that I am liking currently is Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream. You might want to check it out as well.
