The Face Shop just recently launched a new cushion foundation, the Oil Control Water Cushion.

The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion comes in with LG Patent micro foam™ that claims to keep the freshness of the first application until the very end. Using fine foam with high-density cells to prevents the shifting and caking of Urethane cushion and to provide even skin pressure for comfortable use.
This cushion shade is a little dark for my skin. It's not overly dark that it looks weird on me, but when I use this all over my face, it makes me look kinda dull. It doesn't look good when I use this all over as it makes me look flat. Understand what I mean? So, instead of using this all over, I like to use this just on the outer part of my face and use other brighter foundation shade at the center part of my face to give my face a more 3D finish.
The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion actually came in two different shades, V201 Apricot Beige dan V203 Natural Beige. Looking at the shade V203 Natural Beige above, I think the V201 Apricot Beige would suit me better. I usually always go with Natural Beige with other cushion but since this one only came in 2 shades, I think The Face Shop made their natural shade a little darker.
It might look okay on the swatches above but actually it feels a little drying on my dry combination skin. Of course, it is definitely because this is made for those with oilier skin. Sometimes, I also get patchy finish when I apply a little thicker. I don't blame the cushion, just that the formula doesn't really match my needs.
I definitely think this would be amazing pick for you if you have oily skin, as this one has matte finish. Not 100% matte but healthy matte, so it still look really natural on your skin.
The cushion also provides amazing coverage as you see. It covers redness and blemishes really well, also it smells amazing. One thing I really like from this cushion is how the smell doesn't turn weird after a few hours of usage like a few other cushion brands I previously used.
LAUNCHING EVENT
I was invited to the launching event two weeks ago by Kawaii Beauty Japan. The event was nice as they prepared a few activities for us, including skin consultation & makeover session.
